Sierra Nevada East Side - 2003

Water rushing over a fallen aspen leaf helps create an almost abstract image, along the June Lake Loop in the eastern Sierra Nevada mountains of California.

A window at the Chemung Mine offers a panoramic view of aspens and the Sierra Nevada mountains.

To me, this has more the feeling of a watercolor than a photograph.

A kiss of on-camera flash helped illuminate the siding on a dilapidated building at the long abandoned Chemung Mine.

This veteran sheep dog, a sagacious and dignified Great Pyrenees, leads his flock down Highway 395, outside the little town of Bridgeport, in California.
