Wood!
The wooden walls of an old garage behind a restaurant in Bridgeport, California, yielded, on close inspection, many interesting examples of texture. Jean Ray, of Visalia, found the garage that I'm sure most people with or without cameras would not have thought to look at closely.
Lamp - Bridgeport, CA
This is the ornamental glass on a lamp in the lobby of the Victorian Hotel, in Bridgeport, California (a bit of Photoshop magic stretched the round glass into a rectangular photo frame).
At Bodie
Through the Window - Bodie
Rotting curtins dangle behind a window in the ghost town of Bodie.
Ghost Hand - Bodie
A hand reaches for the door knob in the ghost town of Bodie.
Harvest Season decorations
Pumpkins and assorted gourds decorated the front of the lovely "1881" restaurant, in Bridgeport, California
Chandelier
The crystal decorations from an old chandelier hang down in the hallway of the Victorian Hotel, in Bridgeport, California. The hotel is reputedly haunted by several ghosts. I have vague plans to stay in this hotel in 2005, on our next photo tour along the east side of the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
Sierra Nevada Afternoon
We found an impressive scene looking east from a ridge just south of the ghost town of Bodie.
Dawn near Bridgeport
Sierra Dawn
Unusual morning light strikes the Sierra Nevada Mountains just south of the little town of Bridgeport.
Rainbow
We chased a rainbow down the mountains from Sonora Pass and found it ended over the gateway to the east side of the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
Autumn Snow
Leaves and Water
Water flows over aspen leaves while the ripples reflect the light from above. Location: Lee Vining Canyon, below Yosemite and Tioga Pass.

Raindrops
My camera was focused on the wind shield of my parked car as rain began to fall from the first storm of the winter. The out-of-focus trees are cottonwoods along Highway 395.
Along Highway 395
Cottonwoods
The cottonwoods, still turning colors during mid-autumn, are a few miles outside of Bridgeport, California. The first major storm of winter 2004-05 dropped snow in the mountains earlier in the day.
A Touch of Desert Gold
Aspens add color to the desert landscape, near the ghost town of Bodie, in a spur-range on the east side of the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
Sheep, Aspens
On Guard
A sheep dog - a Great Pyrenees - somewhat soaked from an early winter storm, guards the flock.
