It was a foggy morning along the Central Coast of California. It had been foggy even at the top of Black Hill, above Morro Bay. The sun silhouetted a pair of photographers who did not care, for the moment, that the mist behind them began to melt away.

September 22, 2005 - Crab Legs for Dinner

A sea otter dines on crab in the little harbor at Morro Bay. It's often difficult to come close enough in the wild to these adorable creatures (adorable unless you are a crustacean) but this one was unconcerned as it swan and ate lunch just yards off one of the fishing boat docks.
