Oregon Photography Safari - June, 2006

Photographs of a May "pre-trip" to scout the Pacific Northwest.

A very steep and very narrow road out of Oceanside leads to a wonderful and vertiginious viewpoint.

Local residents I met atop the Column were kind enough to tell me about an eagle nest that I found in a residential area of town.
The Captain George Flavel House, constructed in 1855.

The history of Oregon is pictured on the Column.
The view from the top of the famed Astoria Column is expansive.
