People at Point Reyes

Most travelers with a camera want to photograph people they meet, yet doing so can be a daunting task. The photographer has to overcome a natural shyness and fears rejection. The subject, also often shy, can present a less than relaxed posture, which clearly comes across in a picture. Our group discussed and then put into practice a variety of methods for overcoming these obstacles as we met a variety of "locals" and travelers in and around Point Reyes.

Cyclist Legs
Pt. Reyes Station is a magnet for cyclists. Dressed in their colorful clothing, they glide to a stop and park their sleek bikes at the town's little park; then they often head for the nearby Bovine Bakery (along with everyone else in town) to replenish their energy.

One look at Vince's muscular legs proves that he's no poseur on a bike.
