Once again I journeyed to Yosemite, to conduct a photography outing on behalf of the Yosemite Association. My partner was, as for the past few years, Ken Rockwell, and we had a group of enthusiastic photographers with whom we shared visions of the great national park.


Part of the enjoyment of the trip for me came from exploring new terrain, and part came from revisiting places I've been to before. Always in Yosemite, I seem to reach a new level of connection with and and better understand of the world around me.

This would be a much better photograph if I'd have moved a few feet closer to the edge. Then again, perhaps I should never have climbed onto this rock.
