This year's journey along fabled historic Route 66 brought forth from my photographs a wealth of image. As usual, I was accompanied by Ken Rockwell and a talented group of photographers from around the world.


The photographs are divided more or less by themes: found objects, people, reflections, signs, animals, a bit of nature.


Route 66 is as much a state of mind now as it is a place. Much of the old road symbolizes the foundering of the American Dream; yet much of it celebrates the very act of dreaming, remembering and creating a sense of history that may or may not conform to the confines of reality.
