Our photography group explored the Cascade Mountains of Northern California - April, 2009. Co-instructor was Ken Rockwell - his website is here and his photographs from the trip are here. (Ken and I will probably conduct a few more trips this year, to Point Reyes National Seashore, Yosemite National Park, the eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains (including Mono Lake and the ghost town of Bodie) and canyon lands in the Southwest in November.
